Each year, through the ministry of WHMI, thousands of lives are touched. Whether it is embracing a child in an orphanage, sharing the message of freedom in a prison, feeding the homeless in a squatter camp, preaching the gospel on a street corner, or playing field sports with children in a remote village, there is a place for you. WHMI cultivates partnerships in high impact areas where individuals and church groups can know the joy of sharing the love of Christ and the message of the cross with those who hunger to hear it.
You may ask, “What can I do; I am not a missionary or a pastor?” While it is true that God calls people and equips them to be career missionaries or to shepherd God’s people in a local church, WHMI was founded on the conviction that everyone can be used by God if they are willing to go. For over forty years, WHMI has facilitated short-term mission opportunities for people just like you.
